I’ve just been checking out eBay for some Iraq items and I came across a person selling what he is calling FDCs but they are not First Day Covers, they are just an envelope which have mint stamps stuck on them (various years) post marked with a bogus postmark which doesn’t even tell you the date, also some of the FDCs do not contain one issue but a mixture of issues or part of sets. If he didn’t write FDC on them and explained this fact I would have no problem with it but he is trying to con people and he is selling them for a lot of money so be aware, here are a few examples:
